Search and Rescue Training/Drill
Santa Paula CERT,
We have an exciting opportunity to do a review and drill on our Search and Rescue skills. There is a vacant house across the street from Fire Station 81 on Tenth St. that will be used for a live fire training at the end of January.
Santa Paula CERT can use it for Search and Rescue training prior to the fire training. The plan is that we will hold the class size to 50 people, first signed up - first served. If there are many more than 50 that want the training we will hold a second class. The date is Wednesday, January 21st from 6:30 until completed.
We will meet in the Engine Bay of Station 81 for classroom type review on Search and Rescue and then we will go across the street in teams to practice our skills in a large, strange and dark structure.
Bring your safety equipment which should include your CERT pack, flashlights, radios (if you have them), gloves, knee pads and other equipment as you have and see fit. Dress warm and in layers because we will be outside. There will be a release of liability/hold harmless agreement that everyone will be required to sign to participate.
Please sign up ASAP by return email or by calling 805-933-4297 and leaving a message.
